Smėlynas (The Sands; P. Vileišio Square)

Rimvydas: Youth! Petras Vileišis Square (or Smėlynė, as it was called by the residents of Kaunas) was a place famous for horse racing. Back then, I lived in M. Jankaus Street in front of Petro Vileišio Square. It was a place in Žaliakalnis the youth of Kaunas liked very much. It was always full of participants and observers.
