It is a story of one typical apartment block No. 43 located in Kaunas.

During the last decades, artists and researchers of culture are increasingly focusing on genius loci, pointing to the existential importance of the place.

On 25–27 of October 2013, VMU art gallery “101” introduced a memory project in Laisvės Alėja called “The Bohemia of Laisvės Alėja: Memory Sites”.

A reminiscence, like any other material thing, wears out, and as time goes by, fades away, until it disappears from the memory completely, so every picture I have capture was significant.

I was inspired to create the exposition “54°53’50”N, 23°53’10”E Niekieno miestas” (Nobodies city) by the pre-war image of Kaunas in photos by Mečys Brazaitis.

It is the début of a creative duo by Raminta Garbuzaitė and Ala Raguzina, 2nd course Master’s students of Creative Industries at Vytautas Magnus University.

The project is implemented by a public institution “Inovatyvūs kūrybiniai projektai” (Innovative Creative Projects).
